Pallas was just preparing to knock on Swede's door when Dante came into the hallway from the corridor outside.

The door slid shut behind her, and Pallas mastered her surprise, her body falling into more of an "attention" position almost unconsciously. Dante had been her commander for nearly a year at Battleschool, and Pallas respected her ability as a strategist and a leader. They had different methods, of course, but Dante remained an accomplished tactician.

"Hello, Dante," she said politely with a small smile. The sir wasn't said anymore, but it was implied, always. If Pallas became an admiral and Dante remained a corporal, that sir would still be there, but she doubted she would ever surpass Dante's rank. Dante's was to command. Pallas could command as well, but she preferred to be the mind behind the sword than the bearer that made the strike.

She had intended to speak with Swede. She wasn't sure how such a conversation might be started, but she was determined to find a way. It was unusual, but Pallas was in an unusual circumstance, and needed some seasoned advice. Swede wasn't precisely...seasoned, in this sense, but she was more so than Pallas, and that was the necessary part. But here was Dante, and now she thought of the commander and her new interest as a greater possibility of getting the information she was after.

Unfortunately, that still left it to her to start this impossible conversation, and even sooner than she had intended to. Dante was looking at her curiously, and Pallas stiffened a little. "Do you have a moment?" she asked at last. Better than nothing. Perhaps Dante would delay whatever errand she was on here and chat with her briefly...but she didn't want to talk about this in the hall. Ridiculous notion; no one would care anything about Kevo, beyond some harmless taunting...but she found herself extremely reluctant to suffer that without need, and she looked at her cell door and then back to Dante.

Another day, another night approaching as she prepared to stay once more with Rox and Swede. As much as she hated to admit it, she really did miss being back in Phoenix, in her cell with her quadmates, in her own bed. Staying with the girls might normally have been fun; they'd had "sleepovers" before, and they never failed to be vastly amusing and all too enjoyable. But Swede was... in a rare good humor, in itself rather... disturbing... and Rox had stormed off that morning, still not returned. She sighed as she palmed into the common hallway of Griffin barracks, prepared for another sleepless night.

Pallas was inside, and straightened as Dante glanced up and noticed her. "Hello, Dante." She didn't answer, not yet, just surveyed her old toon leader with quiet eyes. There was something... different, perhaps, about the girl. A little blush on her cheeks; not enough to be overt, but Dante noticed the subtle change. Interesting.

"Do you have a moment?" The girl glanced toward her own cell and then back to her, and with a slight smile, Dante nodded. "Certainly, Pallas." She didn't wait for any further conversation, just strode past and palmed into the room, Pallas following close behind.
