Emotions Legend
Asmodeus (Oct 07, 2004 04:24 p.m.): Yeah. Me too. "Below the labs, I think." He sounded uninterested even to himself. He passed a hand over his closely shaven head and then rubbed his eyes. It had taken her a long time to wake up, and he hadn't slept. "It's hard to tell. The cells are smaller down here and the layout is different." He pushed himself to his feet and went to the door. There had been voices outside earlier, but a quick look told him they were gone now. He pulled the door closed again and then leaned against the wall next to it. "No locks. They've got those instead." He nodded at the camera and then paced slowly along the wall farthest from her. He was beginning to question why he'd come in here. It wasn't like they were friends, and she wasn't going to have the answers he wanted. He didn't even know if he wanted them. He was beginning to accept that he was going to be in Charybdis for a long time, maybe forever, and learning the details of why wasn't as important as it used to be. How was what drove him now, how to eat, how to sleep, how to survive until...until something else happened to change things again. Kat didn't help the how. She complicated it, and there was no reason for him to be here. But she was the only person left who knew him, even a little bit. She was vicious and rude and dangerous, but she was familiar. He felt the same relief he heard in her voice, the relief that said, I am glad to see you because I have seen you before, so not all things have changed. He paused in his pacing and went to stand next to the door again, as if he were going to leave any moment. "Most of the others keep to themselves. I saw a few I recognized. No one younger than us, though."
